Mainly level following River Mole foot of Box Hill via picturesque villages of Brockham, Betchworth and Skimmington, to grounds of Reigate Priory. Buy OPDR to Dorking Stations. Dep. Victoria 09.40 (Clapham Jct. 09.47) arr. Dorking Mainline 10.40 EX146. Lunch Dolphin Inn Betchworth or bring a picnic Leader Rochelle.
For those coming on my walk on Sunday from Dorking to Reigate, the Dolphin Pub in Betchworth will only be serving Sunday lunches – and we won’t really have time to stop for long enough to enjoy this. Therefore please bring a picnic lunch. We can eat it in the church across from the pub and then go into the pub garden for a drink. The walk is a little longer than advertised about 8.5 miles and there are a couple of steep sections at the end and a few stiles. We will stop for a cup of tea at the Pistachios cafe in Priory Park before heading on the last 20 minutes to Reigate Station.
