This is part of the Green Chain Walk, about 6 miles. It is not a stroll. Although it is largely paved there are some quite steep sections, some with steps.

Meet 10.30 at Crystal Palace Station, by the park entrance. There’s a café if you are early.  Lunch will be at the Horniman Museum. We finish at Nunhead Station, after passing through the famous cemetery, where there are trains back to Victoria and Blackfriars.

Unfortunately there are no trains to Crystal Palace from Victoria, so routes I have found are:

1. Victoria Line to Brixton then bus 432 to Crystal Palace. Journey time 45 minutes, plus walk down Annerley Hill to Crystal Palace Station.
2. National Rail, London Bridge to New Cross, walk to New Cross Gate, London Overground to Crystal Palace, Journey time 50 minutes.
3. London Overground from Dalston Junction or Whitechapel to Crystal Palace, journey times 45 / 30 minutes respectively.

I’m sure there are other routes, depending on where you live.
